Today is the opening of the court case to hear the appeal of Norges Turbileierforbund, the trade association for bus charter operators, against the Norwegian Competition Authority, which it lodged because it refuses to pay the administrative fine of NOK 400 000 imposed for breach of the Competition Act.
The Norwegian Competition Authority decided in June 2009 to impose an administrative fine on Norges Turbileierforbund because the organization had repeatedly encouraged its members to raise the price for chartering buses.
The Association has not accepted the fine and has therefore lodged the appeal at the Oslo District Court.
