The Norwegian Competition Authority has imposed on ISS Facility Services AS an administrative fine of NOK 50 000 for having provided incorrect or incomplete information to the authority in connection with the acquisition of Personellsikring AS.
The Norwegian Competition Authority has found that ISS Facility Services AS provided incorrect or incomplete information when it submitted a so-called standardized notification of the acquisition to the authority in the summer of the previous year.
- The Norwegian Competition Authority considers this type of offence to be serious. The potential harm is great, since incorrect or incomplete information can make it more difficult for the authority to control mergers and acquisitions in an efficient manner, says Head of section Magnus Gabrielsen.
In fixing the size of the fine towards the more lenient end of the scale, the Norwegian Competition Authority attached special importance on the merger not having had negative consequences for competition. It also attached importance to ISS Facility Services AS, on its own initiative, having contacted the authority and given the information that had not been included in the standardized notification, and ISS Facility Services AS having cooperated with the Norwegian Competition Authority to clarify the facts in the case.
